Hey Tennis - we’re coming for you

In everything we do, we believe in building new models that break down old barriers. We believe that in tennis - as in life - it shouldn’t be about who you are, or where you come from; how old you are, your gender, or what your socioeconomic background is.

It should be about passion and love of the sport; about the will to improve; about community, fun and friendship. It is this belief that drives us to create new opportunities, platforms and products that make tennis, well, Universal.

Because if we look at the past, innovation moved the game forward. There is a movement building; a groundswell that will change who plays, how we play and experience the sport, and how it is perceived. Equal. Open. Inviting.

Are you ready?

UTR Powered by Oracle

At the core of everything we do is the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR Powered by Oracle), the global gold standard for all tennis players which reflects their current skill level based on actual performance. It is the world’s only purely results-based rating system in tennis, which rates all players on the same 16-point scale regardless of age, gender or location. UTR is widely used throughout the tennis community by professionals, collegiate players, juniors and recreational players. It is the only proven rating system that allows you to track your progress in real time.

UTR Engagement Platform

The UTR Engagement Platform is built on the rating and provides tools and technology for tennis organizers to run engaging, open level-based events and offers players the ability to connect and discover events, players, coaches, clubs and tournaments worldwide. The UTR Engagement Platform gives organizers and coaches the ability to get players rated, seamlessly organize all types of level-based play across genders and ages (from simple match play to large-scale money tournaments), collect payment and registration, set draws, and connect and communicate with players around the world.

History

Universal Tennis was founded in 2008 by a group of passionate tennis players and coaches with one goal in mind: to make tennis more affordable, accessible and fun for all players, regardless of age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Over the last decade, Universal Tennis has grown from a rating system used by college coaches for recruiting into the world's premier global tennis platform for players, organizers and coaches. The Universal Tennis platform has become an integral part of the fabric of leading academies, clubs and organizations including Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, Kim Clijsters Academy, John McEnroe Tennis Academy, Orange Coach, PTR (Professional Tennis Registry), USPTA (United States Professional Tennis Association), Intercollegiate Tennis Association, IMG Academy, Centercourt, CourtSense, Midtown Tennis, Cliff Drysdale Management, and many more.

The Team

The team at Universal Tennis is a passionate group of tennis players, fans and families. From beginners to former ATP players, to club pros and college coaches, we represent all areas of tennis.
